Vulvar Cancer Diagnosis - has anyone had lymphoedema after having their lymph nodes removed?

Hi All

Have just been diagnosed with Grade 1 Vulvar Cancer after surgery to remove a lesion.

Has anyone on here had their lymph nodes removed (awaiting PET scan results to show if any spread)?

Would like to hear of anyone’s experience with lymphoedema after removal of nodes, as concerned about having to manage.

    I'm sorry to hear you were recently diagnosed with vulval cancer and now have an anxious wait to find out if the cancer has spread.

    This must be a very difficult time, but I hope it helps to know that our members are here for you and hopefully some of them will be along soon to share their experiences and advice.

    You can find out more about lymphoedema on our website but we also have a team of cancer nurses you can discuss this with on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to address your questions and concerns.

    We're sending you all our support Juicypiggy and we'll have our fingers crossed the PET scan results show the cancer hasn't spread.
