  • Hello Claudia.C

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been through surgery to remove part of your lung following a diagnosis of neuroendocrine carcinoid tumour. I hope that your recovery has been going smoothly so far and that you're being well supported by those around you.

It's really difficult for us to say what will happen next, as there are so many variables that can impact a treatment plan for any given person. Have you been given a follow-up appointment with the specialist? Hopefully, it won't be too long until you see them, and they will have all the information they need at that appointment to discuss the next steps with you and offer some reassurance.

We do have some information about treatment for lung neuroendocrine cancer on our website, which may be helpful but if you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses for some further advice and support ahead of your next appointment, you're welcome to call them. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

I hope you have some answers soon Claudia.C Do keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
