Anorectal melanoma diagnosis

Hello,

My husband has just been diagnosed with anorectal melanoma. So far, a CT scan of the whole torso and an MRI of the immediate area has shown no other signs of cancer but he is booked in to have a PET scan just to be double-check. 

I know that this type of cancer is very uncommon. Is there anyone here who has had experience of ARM?

    I don't know if there is anyone on the forum with this type of melanoma as it is, as you say, quite rare. Is your husband's anorectal melanoma mucosal? Melanoma Focus have some information on this Anorectal mucosal melanoma - Melanoma Focus I have sent you a friend request - if you accept it we can chat by private message. I will speak to my fellow melanoma patients as I think one of them is an Anorectal Mucosal Melanoma patient.
