11 months to tell me I had Liver cancer

Hi everyone, I'm John and this is my first post.

For approximately 2 years I had been told I have Psoriasis of the liver then in March 2025 I was given one of my several CT/MRI scans.

After the scan I had a consultation with my consultant regarding the scan but the Radiographer had seen a 'subtle'  carcinoma on the images. I don't now whether my consultant was told of this or not.

Between April 2024 and March 2025 I had other scans and conversations with my consultant but it was not until March this year that I was told that I had cancer and  my  prognosis was 6 months.

I was also told that the cancer had spread into my veins and nothing could be done.

I very much doubt that even if I had been diagnosed in April 2024 and told I could not be cured and was going to die I am of the opinion that something could have been done to slow the process done.

I have placed a complaint in with PALS, the hospitals complaint service and was basically told that they admitted that I should have been informed about the cancer back in 2024 when it was initially discovered.

Obviously I am pretty angry and frustrated with the whole affair.

Any comments or suggestions will be greatly appreciated

John
