I had recent mastectomy and sentinel node biopsy. Turns out cancer is in my lymph nodes and now awaiting CT scan to check for any other tumours. Not coping with the anxiety and fear and don’t feel strong enough for this
I am so sorry to hear about your diagnosis and hope that you are recovering from your mastectomy. Waiting to get the true picture is always a worrying and frustrating time and our over-active imaginations often take us to all sorts of dark places. Even though you don't feel strong enough for this, you'll get through it, because you have to and you'll come out a much stronger person having faced the challenges!
Incidentally, the way that you feel is perfectly normal. We can all get very uptight when we are waiting for results. Strangely, irrespective of the outcome, we all feel so much better once we know exactly what we're dealing with.
