Hi, I am new on here. I was diagnosed with BCC over 12 mths ago via a biopsy. This was in Australia. I had to return to the UK on urgent family reasons. My Dr referred me 10 mths ago and I have been told that the waiting list is 2 years. Went back to my drs to see if it could be extradited to see if I can be seen sooner. I was also told by the Dr in the uk that after having the biopsy in Australia that the cells would be absorbed by my body and the cells would have died. I was a cat 1in Australia and withing 4 weeks I saw the plastic surgeon, as it is on my nose. Unfortunately I had to fly out the day after. So I didn't get my treatment. I am confused, as to the Dr's in the UK, have said the dermatologist would not do anything about it. I am unsure how long it had been there prior. This is my second BCC in 3 years, the first was on my back. Can anyone help advise me as to how to get them to listen and get it removed as the biopsy showed the margins were not cleared.

How did you handle things. I am now worried as I was told up to 12 mths, it wouldn't be a big issue, I have passed that now. So starting to panic. I am in Wales, is it different in England?.
