what to expect ?

Did fit test 06/06/25. Had every scan possible, attended 4 different hospitals. given operation date 11/09/25.  My head is all over the place.everything has moved so fast.  I have bowl cancer T2. I  Have met my surgeon, absolutely lovely lady.  But  how long am i in hospital for ?  Who looks after me when i go home  ?  I am 62 and live on my own.  Who goes shopping for me ?   Sorts the bills out ? etc etc.  I use the local church food bank for food, can someone else go there for me  ? . Im so sorry to be reaching out to you all, but i dont know were else to turn.  ive only got about 2 weeks before my operation and need to sort things out. I dont want to go in to hospital worrying about what happens to me when i come out. and go home.  If im just chatting nonsense then i apologise But there are a lot of people out there who have gone through the same as i am now., or are going through the same now.  Any advice or help greatly appreciated.

Many thanks. BCT2

  • Hi   I'm sorry about your diagnosis. I don't know where you live but there are a lot of cancer charitys who would be able to help and advise you. In my area we have one called the big c and there is one called maggies that seems to be in a lot of area. Also maybe the church food bank you use maybe able to help if you ask in terms of dropping of your food. Sending hugs. X

    Hi Bungle1.

Im in cheshire,  i have messaged macmillan for advice,  they have replied saying ,  that they are really busy and hope to reply to me within 5 days.. I take it that that was an automated message. Otherwise what the ****.they still replied.  AS for the food bank delivering, thank you for that. I never thought of asking. But will do next week. Thankyou for taking the time to read my message.  Im not sending hugs and kisses,  just in case your a big buch bloke built like a toilet door,
