Lymphoma of the brain

Hi there I’m new to the group as my husband had the diagnosis this week of lymphoma of the brain. I’m absolutely devastated by this and not coping well with the face he has a rare cancer and that prognosis is guarded. He is dealing with it better than me currently. Does anyone have the experience of this type of brain cancer. I think I just need a bit of hope to cling to at the moment.

  • Hello DJS_preston

I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. It's understandable that this is a difficult time, particularly as this is a rare type of cancer. I hope that you have the support of family and friends around you both.

We do have some information about lymphoma of the brain on our website, which may be helpful for you. There is also some information available on The Brain Tumour Charity website.

If it would help to talk with someone about your husband's diagnosis and how you're feeling you're most welcome to give our team of nurses a call. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch with us here at Cancer Chat if it helps to have a safe space to put down in writing how you're feeling or ask any questions. We're here for you DJS_preston and will do our best to offer support.

Sending you both my best wishes,
