My name is Natalia and I was diagnosed with cervical cancer

Hello Everybody:)

My name is Natalia and I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Originally I'm from Poland but last 9 year I spend in UK.

My diagnosis came few weeks ago, and I'm still waiting for last test results and my treatment plan. Doctor said it will be chemo and radiotherapy.

So I'm at the begging of my journey with cancer. I never had nobody in my surroundings who fighted with cancer. So I don't know how it looks like. And I'm lost, scared, angry and much more, a lot of feelings.

And I thought that talking with someone who's been there and done thing's or somebody who's in the same place will be great idea. And maybe if people wanted to even spend some time together doing normal things, going to cinema, grab some food or go to museum to spend some time and meet people.

Because in all this chaos I feel a little bit lonely. All my family is back in Poland. I have my girlfriend by my side and a best friend. They are doing their best. But they need to work, they tired and I think sometimes it's too much for them and 100% I understand this.

So that's why I'm here. I'm trying to be optimistic before I start the biggest fight of my life. Is somebody who will be interested in this it doesn't matter what you interested in. What's your opinions. Where you came from or what language you speak.Let's talk about everything or nothing.

I don't know if you can add me to your friends list. If you can do it.

Have a very good day:)

P.s this message is chaotic, I know. With grammar mistakes. I done my best. English is not my first language. But I will try:)

  • Hi Natalia1991,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sure this must be a lot to process and I hope you're getting on OK. I also hope it's not long to wait for your results and to find out more about next steps.

I'm glad that you've found the forum, as it can be a useful space to write things down and to connect with others who may have similar experience. Especially when it can be tough to speak to those around you sometimes.

My reply here will give your post a little boost, so a few more people should see it, and hopefully you'll get more replies.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
