I do have 3 some but it's hard talking to them.I suppose it's one step at a time, sorry for going on a bit  but it's now 00.50 in the morning and I cannot sleep

  • Hello Anabell

I'm sorry to hear that a scan last week has revealed a mass below your ribs and you've now been told you have cancer. It's understandable that this is a difficult time for you particulary as you've been struggling wtih these symptoms for a few months and you've also had to cope with losing your husband and brother to cancer. It's natural that you may be feeling overwhelmed by questions and struggling with sleep.

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your appointments with the specialists but if you have any concerns about when you may get to see them you can alsways contact the hospital PALS department. It's part of their role to help resolve concerns when using the NHS.

In the meantime, I wonder if you might find it helpful to talk things through with one of our nurses. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch here with the Cacner Chat community if it heps to have a safe space to put down in writing how you're feeling. We're here for you Anabell.

    Sending best wishes,
