Cancerous lesion found on my kidney and I've been referred to the breast clinic as something's been found on left breast. How does everyone cope?

Hi I was diagnosed with a cancerous lesion on my kidney and have an appointment with consultant next Wednesday. I can't stop thinking that the cancer has spread even though the urologist said it hadn't after checking CT scans. Then I got a call to say they identified something on my left breast so have referred me to breast clinic (hoping this is the clip from biopsies about 6 years ago). How do you all cope in this period of the cancer journey TIA xx
