I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis and fully appreciate what a shock this is. Be kind to yourself and give this news time to sink in. You will find that it all becomes a little easier to deal with once you know exactly what you are dealing with. Here's hoping that you get your HER2 results soon and that you won't need chemo.

I felt exactly the same when I was first diagnosed 15 years ago, when I had a lumpectomy. Within the first year I had 2 bouts of breast cancer and 1 of pre-cancer, so ended up having a double mastectomy. I still lead a busy and fulfilling life, so don't give up hope!
