Acute lymphoblastic leukemia

Diagnosed mid Feb, I'm having a stem cell transplant in next few week's is there anyone with same or similar please?,  For advice and support

  • Hi AngieR,

I just wanted to wish you the best of luck for the stem cell transplant and I hope that it all goes well. I can imagine you must be a little nervous as you are awaiting your stem cell transplant next week and I wanted to share with you information we have on our website on stem cell transplants for ALL. You might also be interested in having a look at our section on acute lymphoblastic leukaemia but as nothing quite replaces hearing from personal stories and experiences, I've done a little bit of digging around the forum for past threads from members who have been affected by ALL and I found for example that  posted this ALL thread last year - their son was then diagnosed with ALL and they were at the time looking to hear from others going through the same thing.

If you have any questions about ALL or the stem cell transplant and wanted to talk things through with our cancer nurses, you are welcome to give them a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope that you will hear from someone else who has had an ALL diagnosed, had a stem cell transplant or who supported a loved one through ALL treatment.

    Best wishes,
