  • Welcome to the forum Bubbles25 although I'm very sorry to hear about your dad's diagnosis and that you've been told nothing can be done for him.

As you say, this must have come as quite a shock and no doubt you are all contending with a lot of thoughts and emotions but our members are here for you Bubbles and hopefully some of them will be along soon to share their experiences and advice.

In the meantime, try and have another discussion with your dad's medical team to see if they can tell you the stage of his cancer and how long he may have left. Once you've found out what you need, you could look in to getting a second opinion about treatment if that is something your dad would like to look in to.

I would also suggest giving our team of cancer nurses a call to talk things through as with their medical backgrounds and insight they will be able to assist you further. If you'd like to speak with them, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I know there isn't anything I can say that can make this situation any better but I hope knowing you have this safe space where you can share what's going on with others who have been on this journey will help you feel less alone and give you some much needed strength and comfort at this very difficult time.

    Best wishes to you all,
