Stage 4 is

Iwas diagnosed Stage 4 I couldn't swallow anything but with treatment now I’m able to drink and eat which is Amazing

Im on my second course of Chemo and just starting to loose my hair I’m not bothered about that although my daughters  is looking up wigs which I laugh about

I ve got to say all the staff in the NHS are Fantastic the hardest thing for me was the verdict stage 4 throat cancer and in the Lymph nodes and I couldn’t tell my daughters the news  the surgical nurse called them in by the time I saw them I was  in control of my feelings and gave them a big bear hug

I nursed my terminal Mum and husband at home till they passed I’ve never been sorry for doing that

I going walking my dog and people are telling me I m so strong  I’m pottering in the garden as well which I enjoy it takes my mind of things when I’m doing this

My motto is keep smiling it helps and that’s my Motto Keep Smiling

  • Hi Livener,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. It's good to hear you are able to eat and drink now, and that you enjoy walking the dog and doing the gardening.

It sounds like you've been through a lot - it's good that you've been able to share on the forum and I hope the forum can be helpful for you, in terms of writing things down and speaking with others.

Hopefully you have others around you for support, but also remember we're always here whenever you may need it - the forum is a welcoming community of people, and sometimes just writing things down can be a help.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
