  • Hi Silbella,

I am going in for a lung biopsy on Tuesday. The oncologist called Friday after the cancer review team had looked at my scans (CT & PET). He wanted me to go straight in for surgery, but I feel I should do the biopsy first, so I have to go private.

I am glad you are home already (your pathway has been very quick). I hope your recovery is going well and that you can wean yourself off the pain meds soon.

Let us know about your progress - will you start post-op physio soon? Hope your histology comes back next week.

    All the best

  • Hi sorry I've only just seen this message. Hopefully you may have already had the op. Let us know x

  • Hi there,

i won’t get the results of the biopsy till Monday. They are talking about a lobectomy (lower lobe r. lung). Can’t get my head round it yet. Don’t want major surgery if there are any other options. Not sure that there are, but glad you are on the mend. I suppose I’m not very brave. Funny, cause I think of myself as a fighter but this has me running scared.

    Wishing you all the best…
