Does UK give lenvima and keytruda targetted immunotherapy?

I am just wondering if the UK medical systems support new immunotherapy like lenvima and keytruda or carbozantinib plus opdivo

What sort of therapies do the UK give in general for the stage 4 cancer patients.

  • I can only speak from the experience of being a melanoma patient. Keytruda (known as Pembrolizumab in the UK) and Opdivo (known as Nivolumab in the UK) are routinely given as treatment for Stage 4 melanoma patients and as adjuvant treatment for a year for Stage 2 & Stage 3 patients. You need to be more specific as to which type of cancer you have, for a more detailed reply to your question.

  • Hi monsaintm99 and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

I can see you have already received some very helpful replies on both of the threads you have created about this topic, but I just wanted to quickly stop by to make you aware of the cancer drugs A to Z list we have on our website, as you can use it to find out more about the cancer drugs you have mentioned in your post.

We do have some general information about targeted cancer drugs and immunotherapy as well but for further information and advice, it would be best to give our team of cancer nurses a call as they will be in a better position to answer your questions. If you'd like to speak with them, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,
