Lump on soft palate- diagnosed Friday as Mucoepidermoid Carsinoma. Awaiting imaging for staging.

Has anyone been diagnosed with this in the same way- mass on soft palate? If so was that the primary location for you? I’m 38 with 2 young children and very scared.

  • Hi HayMitch23 and welcome to our forum,

I can imagine how unsettling it must be to receive a diagnosis of mucoepidermoid carcinoma, especially at 38 with young children to care for. It's understandable to feel scared and overwhelmed during this time.

It's important to wait for the imaging results to determine the stage of the tumour, which will guide the treatment plan. I understand that waiting can be incredibly difficult, but try to focus on the fact that you're taking the necessary steps to address this.

Hopefully, others who can relate to what you’re going through will be here shortly to chat with you and offer support.

If you have questions or need someone to talk to, you can contact our team of nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Wishing you strength and clarity as you navigate the next steps.
