Can this be treated without removal of the bladder ?
Hi Vax and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.
You can find out how the different stages of bladder cancer affect treatment options on our website, but if you'd like to discuss this further with one of our cancer nurses, you can give them a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very knowledgeable and will do all they can to answer your questions.
Hopefully some of our members who have been on this journey will reach out to you soon as well.
Kind regards,

Hello and thank you for posting,
I am sorry to learn of your situation this must be difficult.
I don't know if you have had an opportunity to read the links Steph gave in her reply, the main treatments for bladder cancer are surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Radiotherapy and chemotherapy (chemoradiotherapy) can be given together instead of surgery to remove the bladder.
Your specialist is the best person to discuss your treatment options with as they know your situation. As information nurses not involved in your situation we cannot give a medical opinion, if this is something you are looking for we have information on our website about how to get a second opinion .
The research into low-dose naltrexone as a treatment for cancer is limited and more research is needed particularly in large clinical trials with large numbers of patients before it becomes an approved treatment for cancer.
I hope this is helpful, please come back to us if you have any further questions.
Take care
Jemma
