Hi Micky..I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad, a difficult time for you all..
You are entitled to a 2nd opinion, this can be arranged by your G.P or the oncologist dealing with his case..
Realistically [ sorry] but treatment for cancer is gruelling and debilitating...moreso for a 91 year old ...
It would be unlikely that a 2nd opinion would offer an alternative option..
Sorry if this sounds harsh ... I have an 84 yr old friend who has bowel cancer, she will not be offered any treatment due to the above reasons..
The impact on the body would offer no relief or cure or change the diagnosis and prognosis..
A specialist Nurse will keep her as comfortable as possible which is all anyone can hope for, given the situation..
Treasure every day with your Dad
