Stage 3 Breast Cancer over 80

I’m looking for any help or advice. 

My gran is 86 and has had 3 biopsies taken. Confirmed Breast Cancer Stage 3. She has been advised to start Hormone Therapy as treatment. still awaiting for a CT to see if it has spread anywhere else. 

but we are completely new to this and want to hear about anyone over the age of 80/85 who has the same treatment/staging? Trying my hardest to keep her in a positive head space through this tough time.

    I'm sorry to hear that your gran has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Understandably it's a worrying time for you all. Hopefully, she won't have to wait too long for the CT and the results will give the specialists the information needed to discuss the best treatment options for your Gran. 

    Hopefully, if we have any members who can identify with your situation they will post to share their experiences with you. In the meantime, you might want to talk things through with one of our nurses. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.
