Hello Busybee1234
I'm sorry to hear that your partner was told earlier this week that they have CLL. Getting a cancer diagnosis can be difficult at any time but when it comes unexpectedly, as it sounds this has been the case, then it can be very overwhelming.
Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) is a type of cancer that tends to develop very slowly. Not everyone with CLL needs treatment straightaway and some people don’t ever need treatment. You can read more about CLL on our website as well as on the Blood Cancer UK website.
I wonder if you might find it helpful to talk things through with one of our team of nurses. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
I hope that over the coming days and weeks, you can both begin to come to terms with this news. We're here if it helps to put down in writing how you're feeling or to ask any questions.
Best wishes,
Jenn
