At a loss

3 month I’ve been passed around several hospitals. My knee collapsed in November torn meniscus but no fall or trauma. On MRI was seen lytic lesions femur. Had mri leg and saw again.

was told maybe myeloma llmphoddema, ct scan throat to pelvis and nerve conduction test as had numb right knee waited 2 years see neurologist!! He cannot see where nerve impeaching but it S1. Back to leg sent bone marrow and bone biopsy! The most barbaric thing ever!! No sedation! Should be option!!! Cruel!!! Ct said could be liver could be stomach lining. Hmm omeprazole fir 20 years also can cause stomach thickening.

leg biopsy show adenocarcenoma on ‘stains’ possible but cannot be 100 sure? It’s on breast cancer primary??? Surely ct would pick up primary been there at least two year secondary been there??????

I’ve lost all faith in NHS I think I’m refusing BC as nothing 100 per cent? And 1/6 misdiagnosed 15-28 percent!!! Why put myself through. All bloods ok!! Ct shows nothing!

would NEVER have chemo radiotherapy as seen three members family go from fit and well to low immune wrecks with sores, pain and all died in months!! I’d rather die living than live dying wired to a chemo poison drip!!! Yes I’m angry! 3 months been passed about from consultant to consultant and my own GP does not even know !!!!

  • Hi Radhadee,

Poor you I completely understand why you are feeling at a loss after 3 months being passed around several different hospitals, going from consultant to consultant but still feeling like you have no definite answers. It must have been so painful too not to have sedation when you had the bone biopsy. It all seems so confusing and I hope that you get some clarity on this very soon.

I think it would be helpful to you to have a conversation with a medical expert about all these test results so that you can find out precisely what they mean, what the diagnosis is and the different treatment options you might have. If you feel that your GP doesn't seem to know or hasn't been able to explain everything to you, you could also try and speak to another GP and seek a second opinion

I hope that you manage to get some clarity soon on what is going on and that you will hear from other members of our community who may have been through something similar before.

    Best wishes,
