I have to go in tomorrow to have this procedure. I was called on Monday and booked in with very little information. Has anyone had one of these or been told they have to have one? Is it quite common to have with cervical cancer?
I am replying to my own post in case this is helpful for anyone in the future. I went in for a Nephrostomy today I went in around 10:00 surgery was at 12:00 and came home at 16:30
the procedure for me was painful but seemed to be over quickly the only way I can describe it is 3 forceful stabs to my side.
i had a lot of pain relief after and I am home now but in a lot of pain still and have to get use to this bag. I’m hoping in a few days things will settle but I am staying positive as it’s done now and every step is a step to beating cancer.
