I'm sorry you have just been diagnosed with this & you will still be taking in the diagnosis. I don't have ocular melanoma, mine is superficial spreading (on the skin) but I know a few ocular patients and they all recommend the Ocumel website which also has a community forum https://omuk.org/
There are also a couple of ocular patients on this CRUK forum - if you search 'ocular' or 'eye' in the search bar at the top of the page you will find some posts that may help. Thank you for your kind reply. Any contact will help I'm sure. Yes it's still very raw, trying to stay positive. Only found out yesterday although I felt that would be the news. I haven't told my adult children yet, 30 and 25. Wanted to try to get myself in a better frame of mind before ringing them. Not sure if that's possible and even when.
Sorry to hear you are also going through your own struggles. 2009 is a long time, I don't know if that's good or bad. I guess it means something, there is life after diagnosis.
