**Hello everyone,**

Just before Christmas, I found out that a lump I had discovered resulted in a diagnosis of Squamous Cell Carcinoma after undergoing a Wide Local Excision (WLE). It feels surreal to be in this position, especially since I initially thought the lump was related to my recent hysterectomy.

Today, I visited my local cancer center and met with an oncologist who was incredibly kind and informative. She explained that the cancer was over 2cm wide and a few millimeters deep, and unfortunately, the margins are not clear due to having only millimeters of healthy tissue left. They aren’t certain got it all or that it has spread.

I've been assigned a nurse specialist and received several informational leaflets about my diagnosis. The next steps include further surgery to remove additional tissue and ensure clear margins, as well as the removal of Sentinel lymph nodes. I have a CT scan scheduled for tomorrow to check for any abnormalities, and if anything unusual is found, they may need to remove more lymph nodes.

As I process all of this, I can't help but feel overwhelmed, especially in my early 30s. I've been advised that they can't stage the cancer until all tests and the subsequent surgery are completed.

I have an appointment with my gynecologist tomorrow for more tests, and I’m wondering if there are specific questions I should be asking. I'm also curious if radiotherapy could be a potential or any other option for me?
