I'm sorry to hear that your Dad has recently been diagnosed with kidney cancer. It's understandable that you have lots of questions and concerns about what the future may hold for him. 

We know that for many people this period of waiting for more information and for treatment to begin can be really difficult. Sometimes it can help to talk with someone about how you're feeling and I wonder if you might find it useful to chat with one of our nurses. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040. 

I hope that your Dad's surgery progresses smoothly and that afterwards, the team are able to give you both some reassurance about the next steps in his care. Do let us know how he gets on.
