Newly diagnosed with breast cancer

I am having a lumpectomy and need a radioactive tracer put in my breast which I'm worried about. Also I'm going to have a blue dye injected into me. I'm a fainter and know I'll pass-out during this procedure.  I'm very anxious. Does anyone have any advice or comfort to give please?

  • Hi MummyMartin

Thanks, i coped with the biopsy and the tracer procedure but I had a local anaesthetic first!!

I think I'm getting my knickers in a twist and I need to stop!!!

It's when I'm on my own or awake at night!!!! I start thinking . .  No good comes of thinking at all!!!!

Yeah I'm quite positive about it all. I've 2 grandaughters aged 4 and 6. I plan to be around for a long time yet. Many memories to be made and fun to be had!!!

I know I'm having chemo, radiotherapy and hormone treatment too - I'm a progesterone, estrogen and HER2 patient.

Wishing you well - keep strong an focused!!!!
