Newly diagnosed with breast cancer

I am having a lumpectomy and need a radioactive tracer put in my breast which I'm worried about. Also I'm going to have a blue dye injected into me. I'm a fainter and know I'll pass-out during this procedure.  I'm very anxious. Does anyone have any advice or comfort to give please?

  • Hi there is you’ve had biopsy the tracker is similar procedure. The dye isn’t fun but I just kept nervous talking to the nurse to get me through. I think the anxiety is also caused by the unknown. I had my lumpectomy 3 weeks ago and am back to work next week. This forum has helped and I’ve got a couple of people that are on same timeline as me so we have been sending private chats. Best Wishes
