My Friend Lou

Today I was told that my good friend Lou has stage 4 cancer. I can't believe this. I'm in shock but want to shake this off to be able to do anything I can for her. In a way I think I feel that if I can't stop feeling sad then I will not help her get better.

  • Your lovely friend Lou will wish you to be a her side and that is enough..you cannot easily force a change to your sadness x

  • Please do not despair. Stage 4 immediately sounds bad but the treatments available nowadays are absolutely amazing and stage 4 doesn’t hard to mean that there’s no hope. There is hope and lots of it. Please be positive and encourage her to be positive too. Your friend is blessed to have a good friend like you. Stand by her and ask God to help her and you too. Best wishes x

  • Thank you very much for your reply. Every morning since the weekend, I wake up and I remember and I think life is not normal anymore. I am positive and I tell Lou we are going to fight this with all our might and beat the hell out of it. I have started praying the rosary too.

    God bless you Grannyrose

Thanks for your reply Kawaman. I was too stunned still to say anything at the time.

We are now waiting to hear from the consultant.

Was thinking of organising a collection so that at least she doesn't have to worry about money. Do you have any experience on this? How to do it so that Lou doesn't feel offended?
