Hi, the same thing happened to me. It’s a really scary time but I had surgery 4 weeks ago to get rid of the cancer and I’m waiting for an appointment to start radiotherapy which will be 12 weeks from surgery.

Yes, a total shock to us all, but they have said that it is the one of the nicest of ones! So hopefully not too long till I get my treatment plan.

Im just waiting to hear about my treatment plan following my MRI scan which I had done at the weekend, so I expect to hear about treatment appt next week.

it’s the waiting that gets to me, but they have been really quick with everything so far.

How are you in general after your surgery?

Hello. I was diagnosed in July on levestrole for 5-6 months then decide if and what treatment is necessary no problems on treatment so far good luck stay positive x

Yes that’s what they said to me too, “if you have to get it, you want the this one”. Hopefully they get you in quickly and get you on the road to recovery x It’s amazing how fast they act. Mine was picked up on my very 1st routine mammogram and I had my surgery 5 weeks later. I’m doing ok thank you. I started tamoxifen tablets a couple of weeks ago and the side effects aren’t very nice but hoping that will settle. It sounds like you have exactly what I had. It’s really hard to be positive but try your best xx

Hi Kaz I was diagnosed last week following mammogram call back. I was a bit blase when they did first biopsy. On results day that’s when the metaphorical slap on face happened with diagnosis. Second painful biopsy and now waiting next appointment. They said surgery, 5 day radiotherapy and then years of medication. I’m just worried they’re wrong and it’s worse than they said. Happy to message you. Keep going. 

I was told BC is caused through estrogen too. Was diagnosed last month after finding a lump and had a mammogram and biopsy on same day. Since then I've had surgery (masectomy) they remove some lymph nodes during the surgery, I've felt great and upbeat after surgery but my pathology results showed 10 of the 12 lymph nodes had cancer so I've to get a CT scan and further surgery to remove the rest of my lymph nodes and I will be getting chemo too. Trying to stay positive and upbeat throughout this whole process.

thanks for replying, still trying to get my head round it all.  Stay positive and probably a bit like me over thinking everything and frightening the life out of myself.

i have another biopsy tomorrow as MRI showed another lump but different from the first lump they found.  But all being well I will have surgery beginning of Dec, just got to wait for results of tomorrows biopsy and I have an appt with consultant again on 27th Nov.

everyone says stay positive and strong and that is what we must done.  You have got this and all will be well.

im having another biopsy tomorrow as mri showed another limp but different in appearance from the cancer one they have found!  I have next appt with consultant on 27th Nov.  I will have surgery beginning of Dec and radiotherapy and then hormone treatment.
