Bladder/kidney - Help!

Hello all, so I am just after a little advice. We have had some issues with back and kidney pain recently - was referred for CT as considered it might be Kidney Stones. CT came back with Kidney Cysts, one of which was concerning but they werent sure what it is, and a bladder lesion - we were referred yesterday for an ultrasound and Cystocopy - ultrasound showed Kidney cysts and a "something" she said it didnt appear to be presenting as a Kidney stone but she had no idea what it was........ further to this she advised she could see no bladder lesion.

What is more reliable the ultrasound or CT scan? Does anyone know what they will do about the "something" she found?

We are just going out of our minds!

Many thanks

  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, shani101.
I’m sorry to hear about these issues and it’s easy to understand why you’re feeling the way you do.
As for your question about CT scans and ultrasounds, I hope some of our members with similar experiences will come along shortly to share their stories with you but please bear in mind that every case is different and the best person to advise you on this is your doctor since she’s familiar with the particularities of your situation and medical history.
That being said, if you think asking some general questions to our team of nurses might help, they’re available Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040.
I hope you get some answers soon, shani101 and that they turned out to be nothing to worry about.
    All the best,
