What happens at the first appointment to find out what blood cancer my husband has? Will my husband find out on the day or will he have to wait?

my first appointment I was told exactly what form of blood cancer I had and the plan of treatment. My daughter came and took lots of notes, which I’m pleased she did as it is hard to take it all in .Hope your husband’s appointment goes well.
