Hi. So I had a biopsy just over 4 weeks ago. I’ve also had an MRI and CT Scan and it’s been confirmed that I have squamous cell carcinoma. 
I’ve been told it’s small and not spread. And that I need to have an operation to have the cancer removed. The surgeon has given me two options, operate through the mouth Or through my neck… I guess to remove some lymph nodes to check that there is no cancer there too. I really don’t know what option to pick for the best. When I asked the consultant which is best, he said that there was no right or wrong answer. So I’ve left the hospital today feeling very confused!

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated ️
