Hello JEFDC
I'm sorry to hear that your Dad has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer. It's understandable that you may have questions and concerns whilst you're waiting for him to undergo further tests and investigations.
We have some information on our website about prostate cancer which you may find a helpful resource as you begin to navigate this journey with your Dad. You might also find it helpful to talk things through with one of our nurses. I know they will be happy to offer any advice, information and support they can. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
I know that we have had many men post here on the forum who have had PSA results into the hundreds and even higher. Try not to worry too much about the PSA result at the moment. The important thing is that your Dad has these additional investigations and the specialists can then discuss how treatment options with him.
Hopefully you will have some news soon JEFDC. Keep in touch and let us know how he gets on.
Best wishes,
Jenn
