I too was diagnosed on Friday. Very early stages and it’s very contained too. My hysterectomy is on 19th August in 3 weeks. My consultant said this cancer, when caught early is very curable. I am overweight too, although I have been dieting since March. I’ve got to lose as much as I can before my surgery and continue afterwards to reduce the risk of any other cancers. I hadn’t appreciated the link between obesity and endometrial cancer. I feel it should be much more common knowledge, a bit like the dangers of smoking which is so well documented.
  I absolutely hate that I’ve done this to myself and the NHS is picking up the bill!

I now have my date for my hysterectomy. Was given 27th August, yesterday got a phone call to say they had a cancellation so now 18th August!
