Endometrial Cancer plus.

Hi all.

I was diagnosed in May after having a polyp removed which proved to be stage 1a. Went in on 9th July for a laparoscopic hysterectomy. Only to be told when I came round from the anaesthetic that op hadn't gone ahead as multiple tumours found in abdomen. Biopsies were taken and I had a CT scan on Sunday. The waiting is awful and I can't get my head around that all this is going on inside me but I look and feel so well except for a bit of tiredness. Have to wait for an MDT meeting but don't think results will be back in time for this week.

  • Welcome to the forum BlackpoolB although I'm sorry to hear you were diagnosed with endometrial cancer back in May, and that multiple tumours were found in your abdomen when you had your laparoscopic hysterectomy last week.

Waiting for test results is always really tough but I'm glad you've joined us as our members really do understand what you are going through, so you are not alone, and hopefully it won't be long until some of them stop by to offer their support and advice.

If you'd like to talk any of this through with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very well informed and will do all they can to support you and address any other concerns you may have at this time.

We're here for you BlackpoolB and hope your results will be back soon.
