I know this must be a very scary and worrying time but our community are here for you and I'm sure it won't be long until some of our members stop by to offer you their support and advice.

Hi Maud, sorry to hear youre having to deal with this. Im newly diagnosed too due to have operation next week. Very scared but staying positive because of all the positive stories i have read, sending love and hugs and here if you need to offload 

HI Thankyou so much for replying ,firstly I must come clean my name's Sylvia or Syl,Mauds my middle name,How long have you been diagnosed if you dn t mind me asking,I seem to be waiting ages for treatment to start,

Hi Sylvia I was diagnosed 4 weeks ago, had scan 3 days later then waited 2 weeks for scan results. Now due to have it removed next week. I’ve got to confess I’m slightly brickin it but forcing myself to have faith in my surgeon. He said he will try to save my bowel and they will know whether I need chemo once they look at the tumour and see how far it’s gone into the bowel wall and whether there’s any nodes affected. Hi Kathy,I'm about the same ,had a colonoscopy and they found something so sent for a CT scan where they found quite a large tumour unfortunately I've got to have a pet scan first to check it's not read anywhere, couple of nodules on my lungs that need looking at,Hopefully they've caught yours early,and you won't need anymore treatment after it's been removed,sending lots of love and best wish  

Have you got a date to have it removed ? 

No it depends on the pet scan and it's looking likely I'l be having chemo first to try and shrink it. Feeling really worried at the minute 

Fingers crossed for good pet scan results, I never knew what scan anxiety was until now x
