Ovarian Cancer

I have had a hysterectomy to remove my ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix and uterus as I’d had a raised ca125 blood test. The biopsy concludes that I have had stage 1c cancer. I’m told I will have chemo. Not had an appointment through yet. Can anyone tell me how long my chemo will last for?

  • Hello Rmbh36,

I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and we have information on our website on stage 1 ovarian cancer which I hope you will find useful. I am not sure how long the chemotherapy treatment will be needed but this is something you could perhaps ask your medical team when you have your appointment. There is information on our website on chemotherapy for ovarian cancer and our cancer nurses will be happy to answer questions you might have - feel free to ring their helpline on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope that you will hear from others here who have had a similar diagnosis and treatment plan and that they will be along shortly to share their story with you.

Best wishes and best of luck with your appointment and the start of your treatment,
