My Brother was newly diagnosed with a Large aggressive Sarcoma on the right thigh 17th June

I feel everything is happening at a slow pace…my Brother is still waiting for  transfer to specialist Hospital …we have no idea of treatment and way forward until the specialists take over the case…is this a normal pace of activity

  • Hi George,

I'm also now waiting to be referred to a specialist sarcoma team for a biopsy they said its under the 2 week referral act this was on Thursday so I'm keen to see if things move quickly as this whole nightmare has been going on for 4weeks now from bloods, scans, mri ..

I sending you and your brother lots postive energy and hope they get in touch with him soon ,how long has it been for him and what's he had so far? I'm sure they will work pretty quickly now if his got an actual diagnosis

I'm here if you need chat as myself and your brother both going through similar .

    All the best Stacey

  • My Brother has now been in since 17 June CAT scans were done on admission via A@E (pain)…the MRI Scanner wasn’t working and was finally done last Thursday…and we were awaiting transfer …now we are told biopsies will be done next week  prior to transfer…process seems inconsistent …why weren’t biopsies done straight after the MRI

  • All the best Stacey and thanks for your kind reply..sorry it’s taking so long for you as well…my brother also has a large Sacroma…should have been found months ago

  • Hi George

I'm sorry to hear your  brother is going though a rough time but I guess in way his in best place atm especially if his in pain , its not ideal that his not manged to have his mri or biopsy ,so may I ask how they diagnosed him ? I'm still waiting for answers after bloods, 2 ultra sounds and mri ....now got wait for biopsy appointment.

It's just dreadful the waiting game .I'm thinking of your brother and sending postive energy hope he gets answers soon and his not in to much pain and I hope your OK to as this is also a difficult time for yourself I'm here if you ever need a chat :-) sometimes talking to a stranger really does help but I'm a stranger with familiar circumstances so please know you and your brother aren't alone :-)

    Stacey
