Breast Cancer - Ductal Carcinoma

Hello, i have started a new thread about treatment.

So i have recently been diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma right breast.. it showed to be about 2cm and 3 nodes swollen. Dr says i will need Chemo first and will treat it aggressive due to me being only 33. I have a 2 year old girl so its been really overwhelming. I have felt extreme sadness.. anger.. confusion all the emotions which i am guessing everyone goes through. I asked my nurse if it was early and she said not early early but it is treatable.

I had my CT scan and MRI monday which i know is the usualy protocall after a diagnosis. I just want to ask people who as been in the same position how quick after they got there first chemo appointment? Surely i cant be waiting long now for it... the waiting around is getting to me and i asked the nurse if in this time it could spread and they sort of shook there head and dismissed it. Im keen to start treatment now asap.. scared about it but i know it needs to be done. Can anyone share there experiences i would be grateful. Thank you. X

  • Hi GL91, so pleased to hear you are feeling better after your appointment. I think once you talk to the professionals and know a plan, it gives you so much reassurance. Did they say what chemo you will be having? I had to have an echocardiogram before treatment and have had another since then. Think this is due to having phesgo injections. Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Xx
