I'm sorry to hear about your partners diagnosis and the struggles that you've both been experiencing since he left hospital two weeks you're feeling unsupported and that he is experiencing some strong emotions. 

Please do contact his GP this morning regarding the pain that you've mentioned. It's important to try and get some support with managing this pain as that will hopefully improve things slightly for you both. 

In terms of the lack of information from the hospital about the next steps, I'd suggest contacting the hospital PALS department. It's part of their role to help resolve concerns or problems when you're using the NHS and they should be able to find out some inforamtion for you.
