T4,N2,M0 lung cancer diagnosis - what should we ask at consultation?

A family member (73 years old) has been diagnosed with T4,N2,M0 lung cancer. The consultation to discuss prognosis and treatment is in 3 weeks time. As a family we have no real experience of dealing with this cancer and would appreciate any guidance on key questions we should ask at the consultation. TIA Astudystar

  • Hello Astudystar

I'm sorry to hear that your family member has been diagnosed with cancer. It's understandably a difficult time for you all and natural that you may be feeling overwhelmed by this news.

We do have some information about lung cancer on our website that you may find helpful but I'd suggest getting in touch with our team of nurses to talk things through. I know they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support they can along with helping you think about the types of questions that you may want to ask at the appointment with the specialist. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.

    Best wishes,
