You can find out more information on our website on Neuroendocrine tumours and there is also a section on treatment you might be interested in having a look at. Chemotherapy is mentioned in there too and it mentions that you might have it for a NET "that is fast growing and that has spread to other parts of the body." I would suggest you give our cancer nurses a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 - their helpline is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and they will have the specialised knowledge to tell you more about NETs and whether the fact she will need chemo means that they are cancerous. It's important that you get all the information and details of her diagnosis, so it would probably be helpful to you to talk things through with our nurses.
