My sister used to fit wigs for cancer patients at a place called ‘trendco’ I think there’s a few around - did my moms when she had cancer, looked very real. As for eyelashes, maybe you could try the new magnetic false ones? Hope that helps, Wendie
I did not bother with a wig ,found nice velvet hats ,but there are quite a few wig shops around . I would not buy online as I think it’s best to have it professionally fitted and maybe trimmed to your liking . The eyelashes felt odd when I lost them ,used some eye drops from Specsavers as they were more gloopy and worked well for the dryness.I would check with Chemo unit if false eyelashes are ok ,as you are more prone to infections,they were the last to go with me and first to grow back . Regarding eyebrows ,I drew them on but maybe micro blading would be ok ,but check if that’s ok first . Good luck,you will be amazed how quickly everything grows back xxx
Thank you for your advice, especially about the eye drops. How are both getting on with your treatment? And if not too personal the stage you were diagnosed.
They did not stage or grade me . Had bilateral mastectomies in September 22,lymph removed in the October on left side .Felt well throughout,had chemotherapy from December til March which also went pretty well .Decided to have reconstructive surgery and had my chest expanders last year .Feel pretty good and looking forward to having my silicone implants next month .Initially I didn’t think I would have it done but glad now . No pain and feeling good ,I am 62 . Good luck xx
