  • Welcome to Cancer Chat, Abs36.

I'm sorry to hear that your dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer and it has spread to other areas of his body.

It's completely understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed and unsure about what to expect next. While I can't offer medical advice, there's a page on our website with information on kidney cancer which might be helpful to read if you find a moment, as this seems very new to you.

It's important to take things one step at a time and lean on your support network for guidance and comfort. Also, your dad's medical team will likely discuss treatment options and prognosis with him. In the meantime, try to focus on spending quality time with your dad and providing him with love and support.

It's also important to take care of yourself during this challenging time, so don't hesitate to seek support from friends, family, or a counsellor if needed.

And whenver you feel like talking things over or just venting, remember that there's always someone here to listen.

With best wishes to you both,
