  • A big welcome to our friendly forum, Vanityfair!

I am sorry to hear about your recent ovarian cancer diagnosis. The waiting is indeed often described here as the hardest thing but you're going about it the right way by distracting your mind from overthinking and I hope you can focus on other things you enjoy doing while you are waiting for surgery and treatment to begin. I thought I would share with you these helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for important news.

I hope you won't mind but I have added a little more information to the title of your thread so that it can be spotted by others who have been diagnosed with ovarian cancer too and I hope you will get chatting soon to others who are in a similar situation. I had a little look for recent threads on our forum and found for example  's ovarian cancer stage 3c thread and this is just one example - if you type the keywords 'ovarian cancer' in the search function of our forum located at the top, you will be able to find other threads which might be of interest to you and feel free to respond to any you would like to interact with.

I hope that you won't have to wait too long to start treatment. We'd love to hear from you again when you've had more information about treatment and I hope that it will all go well. Hopefully you will meet other ladies here who have been through this before and they will be along shortly I hope to share their story with you.

    Best wishes,

  • Thanks for your information, I now have a date for my surgery,3/4/24. Plan is to go in laparoscopy, then take anything that looks cancerous. Still no definitive diagnosis as to Overian but PETCT showed hot spot-on left ovary. But as I have a secondary in lymph node in groin where biopsies were taken still no primary  found , still saying CUP cancer! All very confusing. They plan to give me Chemo after surgery. If any one else who has been in my situation could share there experience I would be so interested. Thank you.V.F.
