  • Hi Rookery,

A very warm welcome to our forum.

Do you know what type and stage your breast cancer is? Mine was stage 1, pure Mucinous.

I am sorry to hear about your concerns and thought that I would let you know my experience of breast cancer. I have had 2 bouts. The first time I had a lumpectomy and took Tamoxifen for a year. I then discovered another lump in the same breast, which I was told was a new primary. I had a double mastectomy and changed to Letrozole, as the Tamoxifen hadn't kept the cancer at bay first time around. I took Letrozole for a further 6 and a half years. That was 14 years ago and I still lead a busy and fulfilling life.

Sadly, there are no guarantees. Would immunotherapy be an option, if you ever needed further treatment?

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
