I finished treatment for AITL Lymphoma in December, which is rare and also aggressive, I've just been told I'm in Remission. It is natural to be scared, I was but in reality I found the staff so caring and kind and they explain what's going on clearly. They make sure you have enough anti sickness medication when you are there,make sure you take it regularly when you get home as its easier to prevent it than stop it.

I was scared about the pic line but again they explain what's going on, give you a local anesthetic so all you feel is a bit of pushing, my hospital gave me a special cover to keep it dry when having a shower. 

I was really worried about loosing my hair as I always had positive comments on how nice it was in reality it hasn't worried me that as much as I thought. My hospital referred me to their wig department and they were great, just a small charge, I also brought one privately as it was my way of taking control rather than the disease. Once it started to fa out I got my hairdresser to give me a number 2 buzz cut as the hair on my pillow at night was annoying. You can buy nice soft hats and scarfs which I use at home but I wanted to look 'normal' when I went out rather than pitying looks. 

I really recommend you look at the Lymphoma Action website as they have lots of useful information of what to expect when going for chemo. You can also join the closed Facebook group for support which has been amazing and really helped me. They also have one support meetings. Best wishes with your treatment.
