Good news , colon cancer , hope

I have a 5cm tumour in my colon , i had a colonoscopy which found it , i had a CT scan a week ago today i got the results, i have to see a surgeon next week and the clinical nurse has informed me that my CT scan came back clear , they are going to operate and remove that section of the bowel 

i feared the worst because of the size of the tumour, so anyone else who has symptoms similar to mine don’t loose hope , i know there is still a long way to go but to get the news it hasn’t spread is a weight off my mind

    Hi Gordgrc, I have a very similar scenario to you, almost exactly the same description of rectal tumour and I thankfully have no evidence of spread so far. Surgery is planned for March. Hopefully a date to be confirmed this coming week. I had similar symptoms and although no others right now, I think all the news and the whirlwind of tests has hit me with fatigue suddenly. But I am so grateful to the lovely medical staff. Hope you are still feeling well? Best wishes.

    Good luck i hope it all goes well , it’s scary times , i think the stress of knowing you have cancer can wear you down
